Clay helps Castle High unveil new 'Field of Dreams'

KANEOHE (HawaiiNewsNow)- Olympian decathlete Bryan Clay was among the tens of thousands running yesterday's Honolulu marathon. He's also in town to help dedicate the new track and field at his alma mater, Castle high school.

Students and alumni have been waiting a decade for Monday's unveiling. They're calling the facility a "field of dreams" for the Windward side.

Castle high in Kaneohe already has a priceless backdrop of the Koolau mountains. Now, students and staff have a $5 million dollar sports field to go with it.

"You see Hawaii starting to catch up with the times," explains Clay. "I think that, for so long, we've been kind of stuck, and we haven't been able to keep up with what the rest of the world has been able to offer their young people."

We do now.

Police search for suspect in fumigation standoff

Suspect

KAILUA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow)- Honolulu Police and CrimeStoppers are looking for a man they suspect of stealing a woman's credit card while her home in Kailua was being fumigated.

On Oct. 16, at approximately 10:10 a.m., officers were sent to a home

on Hamakua Drive on a report of a possible burglary in progress. The home had been tented for termites, and an employee of the fumigation company heard noises coming from inside.

Honolulu Police spent more than seven hours at the house thinking a burglar was still inside. In reality, the suspect was out having a field day racking up thousands of dollars on stolen credit cards.

A detective requested surveillance video from an ATM where the card had been used, and the suspect was seen in that video. The surveillance images also showed him driving a white vehicle.

The suspect is wanted for fraudulent use of credit card.
