1) Marine Corps Base Hawai‘i, Windward O‘ahu
On Friday, June 1 at 7:00 PM, Artistic Director Susan McCreary Duprey and the Windward Choral Society present “Cruising Down the River” the 4th Annual Spring Concert at the chapel on Marine Corps Base Hawai‘i. Several members of the Windward Choral Society and the Big Island’s Kona Music Society will be “cruising down the river” this summer with concert performances in several historic churches along the Danube River. Our spring concert will include “river” songs from the British Isles, the Republic of Cameroon, Hawai‘i, Israel, the Ukraine, and the USA. The concert will end with a rousing choral, organ, and brass rendition of Gustav Holst’s Jupiter Theme from The Planets. This concert is FREE and open to all who have MCBH access. 2) First Presbyterian Church at Ko‘olau, Windward O‘ahu
On Sunday, June 3 at 5:00 PM, Artistic Director Susan McCreary Duprey and the Windward Choral Society present “Cruising Down the River” the 4th Annual Spring Concert at the First Presbyterian Church at Ko‘olau. Several members of the Windward Choral Society and the Big Island’s Kona Music Society will be “cruising down the river” this summer with concert performances in several historic churches along the Danube River. Our spring concert will include “river” songs from the British Isles, the Republic of Cameroon, Hawai‘i, Israel, the Ukraine, and the USA. The concert will end with a rousing choral, organ, and brass rendition of Gustav Holst’s Jupiter Theme from The Planets. Parking and concert are FREE and no tickets are required.
