Whole Foods Market® Shoppers Raise More than $67,000 to Help Local Organizations Blossom
Whole Foods Market recently announced gifts for two local organizations in the first months of 2013 totaling more than $67,000. Aloha Harvest received more than $60,000 as a result of Whole Foods Market’s Grab & Give program, which ran from November through December of 2012. The Wāhea Foundation, a local foundation that perpetuates Hawaiian culture through hula, will receive more than $7,000 as the beneficiary of Whole Foods Market Kāhala store’s recent Community Support Day on Feb. 6, 2013. Whole Foods Market stores host Community Support Days a few times each year, where five percent of the net sales for that day is donated to a local organization.
