Pets, naughty or nice, can have their holiday photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Paws to benefit the Hawaiian Humane Society.

Mike McKenna’s Windward Ford puts the pedal to metal for the animals in a collaborative philanthropic partnership aimed at driving promotions, pet adoptions and fundraising for its favorite pet charity.

Under the leadership of Mike McKenna, a well-respected philanthropist, the dealership regularly provides its venue for the Hawaiian Humane Society’s Adopt-a-Pet promotions.

On Sunday, August 12, the dealership will host its eleventh pet adoption event with the Humane Society from 11 am to 1 pm. This fun event will include a variety of pets for adoption, prize giveaways, Humane Society items for purchase, entertainment provided by KSSK, and much more.

In addition to hosting adoption events, McKenna underwrites an adoption fee for one lucky dog every week at the shelter, donates $50 cash to the Humane Society for every vehicle sold, and provides the new car owner with a $50 gift certificate to use at the Humane Society.

Mike McKenna's Windward Ford continues to show its avid love for animals by regularly providing its venue for the Hawaiian Humane Society's Adopt-a-Pet event. Under the leadership of philanthropist Mike McKenna, now serving the Kailua community for over 25 years, this partnership is about giving back to the community. In 2011, Mike McKenna's Windward Ford raised over $31,000 for the animals.

The dealership also donates monthly to the Hawaiian Humane Society $50 for each car sold. Mike McKenna's Windward Ford also provides $50 in "McKenna Bucks" to each car purchaser, which can be used for pet supplies or anything else provided at the Hawaiian Humane Society.

All animals available for adoption include a host of benefits and services valued at more than $250. These include behavior screening, spaying or neutering, health exam, vaccinations, worming, flea and tick control, microchip identification and heartworm testing and preventative for dogs.
