Governor Releases $92.8 Million for Highways, Airports and Harbors

Governor Neil Abercrombie today announced the release of more than $92.8 million for various Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) designed to maintain, upgrade and expand transportation infrastructure across Hawaii.

"Our highways, airports and harbors are essential to island commerce and our way of life; everyone depends on the daily reliability and functionality of this core infrastructure," said Governor Abercrombie.

HONOLULU- On the heels of the last day of the 2012 Legislative Session, Senator Pohai Ryan has coordinated a series of town hall meetings for residents to receive a post-session legislative update.

Legislators to host town hall meeting to discuss community concerns

Sen. Jill Tokuda along with Reps. Pono Chong, Ken Ito and Chris Lee will host a Windward Oahu Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 25. to discuss community concerns.

"As we begin a new year, connecting with our constituents and focusing on what is important to them is a top priority. These forums provide us with an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions centered around creative solutions to the challenges we face, Tokuda said.

The meeting will be held at Windward Community College in Hale Akoakoa 105 at 7 p.m.
