First week of fall comes with clouds, light drizzle, and some sun

It’s going to be a chilly start to Sunday with early morning lows hitting the 40s in the outlying areas, and 50s in downtown Seattle by dawn.

Morning clouds and spotty mist and drizzle will burn back by mid-day, revealing partly to mostly sunny skies.  Highs will head into the upper 60s to near 70 tomorrow.

Monday will be even a bit warmer, but increasing clouds Monday night into Tuesday morning may drop a bit of drizzle or light rain.  Otherwise, we'll hang on to the fairly quiet early fall pattern of 'a.m. clouds/p.m. clearing' through the middle of the work week.

By Friday, an approaching disturbance will throw some cloud cover in our direction by the afternoon.  We'll have a good shot at some rain Friday night into Saturday morning.  It doesn't look like a real soaker--not yet a drought buster--but if it does materialize, it will be the most significant rain we've had for awhile.  And we sure could use it!

Have a great day,
Shannon
